The Heldervue Watch recently organized a "Bring out your dead!" day.Very early on a chilly Thursday morning, 10 September, two brave ladies and one brave son manned a drop-off point for e-waste at the Heldervue QuickSpar centre for their community. The word went out by email - the response was huge! Virgin Earth returned to base completely loaded down with unwanted computers, TVs, monitors, printers, a fan, two oil heaters, a couple of hairdryers, and just about any other electric/electronic device you could think of. There's a possibility that this may become a monthly event, as many folk stopped by to ask when it would happen again. Thanks Wendy and Jacqui for organizing such a great initiative!
